Pushpavalli

If you are a fan of the Hindi movies, you may have heard about the character Pushpavalli. She is a young girl who has just moved from Bhopal to Bangalore and is looking for work. However, she has a crush on a boy she meets on the street, who happens to be her boss. Her obsessions with him soon escalate as her rent goes unpaid. She becomes the victim of manipulation and blackmail as well.

Pushpavalli is a flawed character. She does not have a clear plan for her future and is constantly worried about her future marriage. She is also overweight and a compulsive liar, making it difficult for her to make people believe in her innocence. The character is bound to meet her demise, but she does not get much sympathy from the audience. Instead, her meltdown is portrayed as a tragic character who will not be able to get what she wants.

The plot of Pushpavalli follows her journey from Bhopal to Bangalore. She pursues Nikhil, a handsome young man who treats her like a friend. She also deals with her landlady's insults. She also negotiates for her freedom with her mother, whose character resembles Aziz Ansari's father in the Netflix series Master of None.
