Type of Steel Pipes & Tubes

Steel pipes and tubes have some outstanding features which help the product to stand as one of the most highly usable in markets which mainly includes Toughness, Highly durable & Smooth finish.

The following are some of the important types of pipes & tubes:

1) Copper Tubes: Copper Alloy is an extremely strong metal alloy with a high level of ductility, toughness and stability. These properties make it ideal for use in many applications such as construction, electrical conductors, heat exchangers, refrigeration equipment, piping system and household appliances.

2) Aluminium Tubes: Aluminium alloys are used extensively for their good strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance. These properties also make them ideal for use in many applications such as construction, electrical conductors, heat exchangers, refrigeration equipment, piping systems and household appliances.

3) Stainless Steel Pipes & Tubes: Stainless steel is an iron based alloy that contains chromium (about 12%) as its main ingredient. This alloy gives it corrosion resistance properties making it ideal for use in many applications such as construction, electrical conductors, heat exchangers, refrigeration equipment, plumbing systems and household appliances.

4) Seamless Steel Pipes: These pipes are made in a single pass through a continuous rolling mill and they have no welds or seams. These pipes are used where welds or seams might be a problem such as in heat exchangers or boilers.

5) ERW Steel Pipes: These pipes are also called Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) pipes. They are manufactured using electric resistance welding method. The materials for these pipes are supplied as plates which are cut into required lengths and welded at the ends to form seamless pipes. Because of their welded joints, these pipes do not require any further finishing operations like grinding or polishing etc., thus reducing the cost per unit area of the pipe significantly over seamless pipe.

6) Welded Steel Pipes: Welded steel pipes can be manufactured by several methods such as Electric Arc Welding (EAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG/MAG) etc., depending on the material grade and thickness of the pipe being manufactured.

Different Types Of Pipe Fittings

A pipe fitting is used in pipe systems to connect straight sections of pipe or tube, adapt to different sizes or shapes, and for other purposes such as regulating (or measuring) fluid flow. these fittings are used in plumbing to manipulate the conveyance of water, gas, or liquid waste in domestic or commercial environments, within a pipe system.

Pipe Fittings Solutions

There are many types of pipe fittings available on the market today. The most common types include:

Pipe Elbows: Elbows are used to change the direction of a flow of water, air or other liquids and gases. They can be used to make 90° turns or 180° turns, depending on their size and orientation.

Pipe Tees: A tee fitting is a combination of two pipes coming together at different angles. A tee fitting can be used to split a flow of liquid into two flows, or to combine two separate flows into one larger flow.

Pipe Bends - A bend is another type of pipe fitting that connects two sections of tubing at an angle other than 90 degrees. The difference between an elbow and a bend is just how much the angle changes; for example, a 45° elbow would be considered a "low" angle while a 67° bend would be considered a "high" angle.

Pipe Crosses - A cross connects two sections of tubing at right angles so they meet each other at four points rather than just two like an elbow does. Crosses can come in many different.

Pipe Reducers - Used to reduce the diameter of a pipe by placing an internal sleeve inside the tube material that slides into place over the outside diameter of your existing pipe, reducing its size by one half inch increments (or more).

Pipe Flanges And How Do They Work?

flange is a method of connecting pipes, valves, pumps and other equipment to form a piping system. Flanges are usually attached to the ends of tubes and fastened by bolts or screws. They can also be used to join two ends of a single pipe together without an internal joint.

Flanges are typically made from metal alloys such as cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel or nickel alloys. Metal flanges can be made with different kinds of finishes, including galvanized or ungalvanized surfaces with different types of protective coating.

Steel flanges are commonly used in industrial settings because they're easy to install and replaceable when damaged. However, they're not suitable for use in applications that require high pressure or high temperatures (such as steam).

How Do Flanges Work?

Pipe flanges are designed to be installed on the pipe so that they can be welded or bolted down. The pipe can then be attached to other components within a system using bolts or welding. The size of the flange determines how much pressure can be applied before it fails. Flanges of different sizes can withstand different amounts of pressure depending on their design and construction.

When you purchase a pipe flange, it comes with an ANSI standard thread size stamped on it — usually 1/2" or 3/4". This means that it will fit any other ANSI standard threaded pipe you have available (such as alloy steel tubing). To connect two pipes together, simply thread one end of each pipe into each end of your new pipe flange, then tighten them down with a wrench by turning clockwise until they're securely attached.

Flanges Solutions

Different flanges have different prices, however, the price of stainless steel flanges is not a roaming price, with its production process, brand, etc. are very relevant, the price is different.

Fasteners and Their Types

Fasteners are used to mechanically join two or more objects together, either permanently or non-permanently. The most common fasteners are screws, nails and glue. There are many types of fasteners available in the market ranging from simple to complex ones.

Types of Fasteners

There are different types of fasteners that include:

Nails - Nails are made from metal or plastic and have a head at one end that is used for driving into wood or other materials. Nails can be used for attaching boards together, hanging pictures on a wall or even covering a hole in wood.

Screws - Screws have a pointed tip at one end and usually have threads along their length that helps them to be driven into wood or other materials by turning with a screwdriver or wrench.

Bolts - Bolts are similar to screws but they have more threads and do not require tools for driving them into material like screws do. Bolts also have nuts that fit onto the threads on the bolt's shaft so as to be able to hold tight against an object being bolted together tightly enough so that it is not going anywhere without being taken apart first.

Types of Valves used in Piping

What is a valve?

A valve is a mechanism that opens and closes to control the flow of fluids. Valves are usually made from metal or plastic. They are manufactured in a wide variety of sizes, from very small to very large. Valves may be operated manually, automatically or by remote control.

Types of Valves

Valves are classified by their location, design and function into:

Check valves - prevent backflow when the flow is in only one direction

Globe valves - permit full flow in one direction with restricted flow in the opposite direction

Gate valves - permit full flow in both directions with some reduction of pressure across them

Ball valves - allow full flow through them only when they are rotated 90 degrees so that they lie flat against their seats.

Butterfly valves – This type of valve is often referred to as simply a butterfly because its shape resembles that of a butterfly’s wingspan when closed (i.e., it is flat). Butterfly valves are generally non-rising type valves that use internal pressure from within the pipe line itself to lift their disk and allow fluid flow through.

Control valves are used to regulate the flow rate and pressure of a fluid. These valves may be manual or automatic. The manual type requires human intervention to open or close the valve manually; while automatic ones can be opened or closed with the help of an electric motor or pneumatic mechanism.

Safety valves are designed to prevent over pressurization within systems by releasing excess pressure through an outlet port when internal pressure reaches a specified value. There are two types of safety valves: relief and blow-off. Relief valves are designed to open automatically at preset pressures while blow-off valves allow gas bubbles to escape through them at pressures above their set point.

Stop Valves - A stop valve is a type of gate valve that controls the flow of fluids by closing off an entire line or section of piping at once. Stop valves have no moving parts and therefore require no electricity or batteries to operate them. They can be used in situations where there's a large amount of pressure behind the fluid being controlled by the valve (such as hot water). Stop valves are also commonly used to shut off gas lines during maintenance work on equipment such as furnaces and boilers.
